The research activity of the group focuses on the study of pathologies such as asthma, COPD, pulmonary fibrosis, lung transplant, pulmonary hypertension, and sleep disorders. In this line, the Group is at present a partner of the EXIMIOUS project (H2020). In lung Transplant our goal is to perform personalize medicine to individualize treatment and monitor allograft function. In sleep disorders the goals of the program are to study sleep pathophysiology and study the effects that sleep and sleep disorders have on other organ systems. Regarding COPD, the group coordinate a multicenter project to know the effectiveness of palliative cures in the final phases of the disease. the group is part of the Catalonian Referral Unit for Cystic Fibrosis, which maintains the Spanish registry of bronchiectasis and patients with a1-antitrypsin deficit and has a line of research in rare diseases such as lymphangioleiomyomatosis, alpha-1-antitrypsin deficiency and hypersensitivity pneumonitis.
