In 2022, our group has contributed to relevant studies on our 3 main research lines (traumatic brain injury, hydrocephalus, and congenital malformations of the craniovertebral junction -CVJ-). As the most relevant contributions, we highlight the studies we have carried out on the non-invasive measurement of intracranial pressure through transcutaneous optical monitoring systems and the study of the repercussions of hyperventilation or cerebral anaemia on cerebral hemodynamics in neurocritical patients through this same non-invasive monitoring system. In the line of congenital malformations of the CVJ, our greatest contribution has been our participation in the consensus conference on developing clinical practice guidelines for diagnosing and treating these malformations in adults and children, which have given rise to two specific publications. Finally, our Unit has obtained important competitive funding, national and European, in the three active lines of research.
