2022 was characterized by the consolidation of the multidisciplinar scope of the group to ensure the fulfillment of our ultimate goal: to optimize the process of donation, preservation, processing and transplantation of organs, tissues and cells. It is worth stressing the competitive funding granted by the Ministerio de Ciencia e Innovación for 2 projects within the frame of the calls Public-Private Collaboration and Strategic Lines. In addition, a total of 6 ongoing projects were executed during 2022. Moreover, our multiplatform and multiprofessional digital system to record and exploit clinical data within the donation-transplantation process at the Vall d’Hebron Hospital (Komparte) was awarded by Diario Médico and Correo Farmacéutico in the category “Digital Transformation”. Furthermore, we coordinated 8 national and international courses on organs, tissues and cells donation and transplantation within the frame of the end-of-life process which trained 600 health professionals.
